Eastman, George (1854-1932), American inventor.

George Eastman made photography a popular hobby for millions of people with his inventions.

In 1884 he produced a flexible roll film and four years later he designed a light-weight camera, the Kodak.

Making these in a factory in New York, he became a millionaire and then gave away over 100 million dollars to schools and universities.
