T. S. Eliot was educated at three universities, Harvard, Oxford and Paris.

He settled in England in 1915 and later became a British subject.

His first book of poems was published when he was nearly thirty. Five years later he wrote a poem called The Wasteland and people said this was a masterpiece.

Besides his poetry, Eliot wrote books about poetry and several plays, including Murder in the Cathedral.

He wrote one famous book of poems for children, Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats.
