Saint LukeLuke, Saint (1st century AD), believed to be the writer of the third Gospel and the Acts of the Apostles in the Bible.

Luke was a doctor and was probably born in Antioch in Syria.

He was not a Jew, and wrote in Greek.

Luke was a friend of St. Paul and traveled with him on two of his missionary journeys.

He is believed to have died in Greece at the age of eighty-four.
